VA Disability & Social Security Disability (SSD)
Veterans receiving VA disability benefits may also qualify for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). While the two programs operate independently, approval for VA disability may support an SSDI claim, and benefits from one program do not reduce benefits from the other.
Eligibility requirements differ, including work history and disability standards, and certain veterans—such as wounded warriors or those rated 100% Permanent and Total—may qualify for expedited processing.
Community Education & Events
Military-Veterans Advocacy® also supports educational and wellness-focused community initiatives. In past years, MVA has participated in events such as Veterans Get Outside Day, which promotes mental health, peer connection, and outdoor engagement for veterans and their families.
Event participation and programming vary year to year. Updates will be shared as opportunities become available.
